I'm getting the Turbo X!!!!

Well I'm not. My dad is. I'm driving him to the airport so he can fly into Chicago and pick up the car while I go to school.

But it's happening! I found my dream car, dreamt about it, and finally found a way to get it. I never thought I would come close to owning a Turbo X, it was always a distant thought of "maybe one day....well probably not.."

AND AND AND! It's a stick! Finally I will have a three pedal!

only problem is...:

I have to be up just a bit early.

Awe the swimming life did it for 11 years. I miss it yet I also don't at all... Great news on the car though!!!

Funny thing is, if it wasn't for a swim meet I have this weekend I would have gotten it myself, then I got injured so now I'm not swimming and my dad is getting the car. Funny how things work haha.

What did you swim? Stroke/events?

100/200/500 free and IM. Coach says I'm a backstroker but I disagree haha. I'm trying to get better at the 400 IM but I need to work on Fly and Breast haha

I almost drowned every time I swam back! I strangely loved fly though, and we once had a 11,500 meter practice in three hours. That was my favorite practice ever!!

I can't do fly to save my life, my younger sister is almost as fast as me haha. The most we've done in a practice was 13,750 in a three and a half our practice. That morning we did 4,000 so more than 25% of the distance I covered in that day was swimming in a pool haha. Also over Christmas break we had 4 hour practices, 3 hours of swimming (start with aerobic and skill sets, end with threshold sets) and then an hour long power circuit. Those were the best ever.

People always complained about the distance/Christmas practices but those where always my favorite. I loved the pain and challenge! But the way you are with fly basically sums up my back career. My coach made me do free in place of back it's ugly

It worked out as me keeping the aero sportcombi, and getting the turbo X. My sister will soon need a car so my dad knew I've wanted this for so long so instead of buying her a car, then selling mine to get the T-X, we kept it and got a steal on the Turbo X. The guy came down $3,500 on his asking price

I don't know what the asking price was... I also dont know the mileage or anything, but it doesnt really matter. What does matter is YOU GOT IT YAY! Haha

Haha I adore the sportcombi. I'm happy I didn't have to sell it (yet). Took me a year and a half to find and we absolutely stole it, 2007 with 50k miles, loaded, $11,900. It had sat on the dealer's lot for 6 months so the ethanol in the gas went bad and now the fuel level indicator doesn't work but other than that it is an amazing car.

After driving the Aero I can't imagine what the Turbo X will be like. Less weight (it's a sedan so what it gains from XWD it loses by not having a massive cargo area, ~200 lbs) 30+ more horsepower, 50+ more torques. My dad should be home around 10:00 and all I can do is wait....

It should be awesome. Why were so many Turbo X's black? It should be $14k-$16k right? I wouldn't be surprised if I'm totally off though!
I think you should buy a Go Pro and do a 0-60 pull to post to Oppo.

Haha funny you should ask, all Turbo X's came in "jet black metallic" with a black leather interior. (oh my gosh the leather is so nice) as I turns out I just got a go pro for my birthday but I need to get good at driving a manual before I even attempt to do a 0-60 run haha. It will be coming though

It's only the second manual I have driven haha, the first was my brothers 1999 jeep wrangler sport and they are polar opposites, the clutch is light and engages almost at the top of the travel in the jeep and the turbo X has a heavy short clutch that engages right at the bottom haha. I'll probably upload some photos today but it's overcast so there's no good lighting
